Professor Saunders comes to the Sir Arthur Lewis Community College with some 29 years of experience as an educator and experience in the financial services sector.
She is being seconded from the College of The Bahamas where, As Dean, she has held responsibility at different times for Business, Education, Hospitality, Nursing and Technology.
She is also a consultant in the area of social-economic development and has made significant contributions to the national development discourse.
Her particular area of interest is in alternative economic systems that serve humanity, having co-edited the book, “The Bahamas in the 21st Century” as well as published “Tomato Economics”.
Professor Saunders was also team leader for the University Transition Secretariat, which was tasked with the responsibility of designing the roadmap for the transition to University.
